Her House
The news hit her in the chest like a boxer
It was a wrecking ball bringing down her once painted house
Her makeup danced down her face in the flood of her tears
She cried enough to liquify a desert
Heart broken in two, what was she to do?
The one she loved loved another
The rain finally stopped and she would go on to repaint her house
She would rebuild it from the ground up
The mud of the desert dried
And so did the tears she'd cried
She's now stronger than ever
She can finally love again
But I can't say the same for me
It was a wrecking ball bringing down her once painted house
Her makeup danced down her face in the flood of her tears
She cried enough to liquify a desert
Heart broken in two, what was she to do?
The one she loved loved another
The rain finally stopped and she would go on to repaint her house
She would rebuild it from the ground up
The mud of the desert dried
And so did the tears she'd cried
She's now stronger than ever
She can finally love again
But I can't say the same for me
