Transitions Of Childhoods

Reminiscing 'bout the time emancipation wasn't hard to find around the ages 5 to 9
Spaces of happiness came in large dimensions
Family obligations would strengthen the DNA connections every time

Meeting cousins from difference provinces
Then creating markable memories for the sake of art
And for the sake of hearts
So many feelings to fill the gaps were the loving was needed
And overflowing laughter for the sake of Noah's arch

Activated consoles to console ourselves
Used to condone our health
By other playful activities such as having fun on the swings
Until its past our curfew and the way of getting home was a stress

But times changed
Nowadays its critical feminists with mood swings tryna outrage
Nowadays it's less boys playing on trees but instead inhaling them on highways
What can I say

As I write these songs
Life evolved and the things have changed olden times dissolved
Now I'm involved, in all these things as a kid I was warned off
As I write these songs
I drink more and things have changed than it was before
Will I detox, in all these drinks or go ahead and say fok off

Currently constructing a bridge, between, adulthood and childhood
Wonder if I would, have an outlook from the younger days and nowadays
What will I change or might have changed
Is there different ways to take better than I've took

Sometimes I wonder, if I'm an overthinker by nature
Or the ghetto mentality taught me better
Supremacy around the world could be jealous because I'm talking clever
The book of life is filled with undiscovered chapters

Sometimes the book is forcing us to dig in our younger days
To understand who we are today
Sometimes the book is forcing us to dig in our current days
To understand, who we were those days

As I write these songs
Life evolved and the things have changed olden times dissolved
Now I'm involved, in all these things as a kid I was warned off
As I write these songs, I drink more and things have changed than it was before
Will we detox in all these drinks or go ahead and say fok off
