Sisyphus and the Stone

Have you ever heard the story
About Sisyphus and his stone?
The man who spent eternity
Rolling a boulder alone
He was bound to a terrible fate
One that he couldn't understand
And each time he went uphill
It rolled back down again
Such was the fate he endured
One that he could not find a cure
Yet through his struggle he managed to find
The will to carry on
You see it's not quite fair
And his curse should eat him away
But instead of refusing to play the game
He went on with his hand

He rolled down once more
Then back up again
With a fresh new will to carry on
In the end despite his curse
He was a happy man
Now I look up to his story
And maybe we share his destiny
The way we suffer and the way we try
Only to end up in dust
So it's the journey itself
That takes us to the happy ends
Accepting everything as they are
And to the live life as a scene
We roll down once more
Then back up again
With a fresh new will to carry on
In the end despite our curse
Our will can find a way
We can be happy again
