Sinners

I threw a sinner in the way
Spewed tales and bogged him down with ought-nots
And invited him to stay
Through the guilt and shame

Listen to the people what they tell you is just not hot
And if you'd seen the way he's drinking
I'd say you'd put him out the same
And if I had ever seen him at Walmart
(Yeah I saw him I saw him I saw him at Walmart)
I'd kick him in the face
(And looked the other way)

Well I'm the lord of good deeds
(The lord above you says "hi")
I got the key you know
Lend your ear and I'll give you a free lead
What's real's what you can hold
(So turn your nose)
So turn your nose

I'm told
The front of the back room's very cold
The backs all blacktop
Take his mask off
Breath in deep into his soul
Feels good you know

Water's high
Breath's tight
All I see is carved up stones just broken bits of bitterness in snow
