Better Place

I don't know where I am, or where I'm going
But I'd rather be on my way there than to stay back
I've been wandering villages for as long as I can think
Hunting for a place more livable than the last

Once I get there and I put my baggages down
I begin to memorize the people around
Then I start to resent them
They're all yelling at me
So I cycle to the next one, and the next one
And the next one, and the next one

Well, we might still be far away
And maybe going the wrong way
But I'll still find us a better place
That's all that matters anyway
And if you start to cry
Turn and leave or let it die
We might never be satisfied if we keep it going

All along
The people, they were trying to keep me safe from them
No matter what
The places I pick never meet my expectations
All along
I've been looking for a destination
As if I will, one day, find a universe of solutions
Now I'm beginning to think there's no such thing
As an end to healing

I'm still kinda far away
And maybe going the wrong way
But I'll still find me a better place
That's all I have left anyway
And there's no final stop, but there's much better than the last one
Heal, my dear, and be satisfied
We can keep it going
