I'm Not Surprised

This shit is no jump scare
I'm not surprised (I see through the lies)
This shit ain't a scary movie this shit is real life
Where's the relief for the women in strife
Where's the social programs for people
That can't afford to go over state lines
Why are they taking away our people's rights
It's not strictly from their moral perspective
They need another generation to put at their bottom line
They know they're not affecting the rich but the poor
The people that are always struggling towards more
They need another generation of
Foot soldiers to send to the slaughter for their war profiteers
For me the message they sent is clear there's no care
For the actual opinions of people they just want to keep
Lining the pockets of the few that are wealthy
The few oligarchy families they're taking away the young
To stack up they're money and now they're forcing you to
Have a family you can't afford just so they can go to war
And get shot by a bullet overseas

This is no jump scare I am not surprised
This is not a scary movie this is real life
This is not a jump scare I am not surprised
This is not a scary movie this is real life

I kept voting and voting and still ended up with a country
That takes away rights a country that doesn't help the bootless
But a country that keeps making excuses but it seems
That it's my fault for assuming you'd live up to your religious standards
Be your brother's keeper and not leave them to die in the cold
The stories of the streets grow old day after day someone is told
There's no more bed's at the shelter (There's no room)
There's are plenty of those without food any day could be they're last day
But I know helping doesn't help the wealthy get paid

Why are you taking away right's that ain't got shit to do with you

This is no jump scare I am not surprised
This is not a scary movie this is real life
This is not a jump scare I am not surprised
This is not a scary movie this is real life
