Prelude 2 / Invisible Grids
I've experienced a massive earthquake in a big city
So massive it raised the local ground several feet higher
It was one of the most destructive earthquakes to ever hit the US
Admits all the rubble, chaos and reconstruction
One of the most interesting things I noticed was this
People and animal suddenly couldn't navigate their way around their own neighborhoods
For months everyone was getting lost
People who've lived there for years
We operate on invisible grids
Unseen filigrees and energies and this grid was partially destroyed in that profound and devastating jolt
Which is what most of us experienced during the pandemic
Artists are usually connected to this invisible grid intuitively
And they know that the arts and humanities save lives
They save the mind
And they may have saved yours
