Sun & Rainy Days
I love this life of chilled out days
With not a lot to do
No one around to hassle me
Just Emus and Kangaroos
The sun beats down and the creeks dry up
And then we pray for rain
When it doesn't stop for days
If flattens all the cane
We learn to live with mother nature
And all her fickle ways
Its part of life in the land of Oz
With sun and rainy days
The sound of rain on the hot tin roof
The creeks begin to run
As water soaks into the dry scorched earth
The Big Wet has begun
Camels on the arid plains
Camels?
Smell water in the air
Then raindrops fall to kill the dust
An answer to our prayers
Desert flowers begin to bloom
Once hidden from the sun
As the earth drinks to its fill
The best is yet to come
We learn to live with mother nature
And all her fickle ways
Its part of life in the land of Oz
With sun and rainy days
With not a lot to do
No one around to hassle me
Just Emus and Kangaroos
The sun beats down and the creeks dry up
And then we pray for rain
When it doesn't stop for days
If flattens all the cane
We learn to live with mother nature
And all her fickle ways
Its part of life in the land of Oz
With sun and rainy days
The sound of rain on the hot tin roof
The creeks begin to run
As water soaks into the dry scorched earth
The Big Wet has begun
Camels on the arid plains
Camels?
Smell water in the air
Then raindrops fall to kill the dust
An answer to our prayers
Desert flowers begin to bloom
Once hidden from the sun
As the earth drinks to its fill
The best is yet to come
We learn to live with mother nature
And all her fickle ways
Its part of life in the land of Oz
With sun and rainy days
