Rainbow

For the past couple years of my life
A cloud's been rising up over my head
And I wondered for the longest time
What day the skies would flood my childhood bed
But they opened and the drizzle was light
And through the rain I guess the sun still shined
I always waited for a little more time
But now I'll never see why
Cause now I see a rainbow, everywhere I go
And they can try, they won't get in our way though
Now I see a rainbow, forever staying gold
And we can laugh, we can dance till our pain goes
Now I see a rainbow-oh-oh-oh
Now I see a rainbow-oh-oh-oh
My life was black and white
The doors shut tight, with boards over windows
I got tired of spending the night
With eyes open wide, terrified when the wind blows
But I stepped out to the rays of sun
Dry ground where I thought there was mud
It's nice out when you fall in love
Never going back to how it was
Cause now I see a rainbow, everywhere I go
They can try, they won't get in our way though
Now I see a rainbow, forever staying gold
We can laugh, we can dance till our pain goes
Now I see a rainbow-oh-oh-oh
Now I see a rainbow-oh-oh-oh
I never saw all six colors at once
I never knew life could be so fun for somebody like me
For somebody like me
I never thought I could love someone
Because they told me no one could ever want somebody like me
Somebody like me
But now I see a rainbow, everywhere I go
They can try, they won't get in our way though
Now I see a rainbow, forever staying gold
And we can laugh, we can dance till our pain goes
Now I see a rainbow-oh-oh-oh
Now I see a rainbow-oh-oh-oh
Oh-oh-oh, oh-oh-oh
