Alchemist Blues

When we open our hearts, and we listen inside
And we trust in ourselves, we have nothing to hide

Where there once was a void, there's an orchestra's sound
Barely feels like I, can keep my feet on the ground

Then with a small interruption, to my perfect plans
Suddenly I'm vacant, and "no one understands"

Maybe human condition, maybe it's just me
Maybe I would have been better, better off as a tree

Instead I'm a dumb and fickle human, chasing my long lost tail
I make my own situations, i decide when i fail

We're all just searching for purpose, or we were at one time
Frankly it's a lot easier, to keep it out of your mind

Because obsession is endless, if you let it run its course
You'll be waiting forever, you'll be alone in the force

And then some other small interruption, it pulls me back and i'm fine
So keep it tuned to this station, we'll see you next time
