Picket Fence

Got out of bed today, can I get a round of applause
Went down to my car and pulled out of the garage
Cruise to the park and I stop to feed the ducks
Their life must be easy, when there's problems they can fly away

You say the world is ending soon and our hopes are in the ground
A never ending picket fence that I can't seem to get around
Though I may struggle to understand my mind
I think that's what it is right
That's what it feels like

Swung by the record store to find some way to cope
Too bad that nothing there was really my taste at all
Drive with my friends we break down at the mall
Guess its time to hide more feelings I've kept buried all along

You say the world is ending soon and our hopes are in the ground
A never ending picket fence that I can't seem to get around
Though I may struggle, to understand my mind
I think that's what it is right
That's what it feels like
