Trading Spaces

I grew up in different towns
My parents liked to move around
I grew up in different homes
Once they picked a city
They still liked to roam

Can't complain, I liked the change
I learned you never have to stay
Now that's ingrained

New house, new home, new side of town
To learn to love to lay my head down
Painting walls and moving places
Summer nights spent trading spaces

All the moving sat well with me
If you were wondering
I liked the change of pace it'd bring
Got two brothers and when we'd move
We'd always battle it out over bedrooms

When the spring would roll around
We'd build firepits and gardens
And we'd paint the whole house

New house, new home, new side of town
To learn to love to lay my head down
Painting walls and moving places
Summer nights spent trading spaces

New house, new home, new side of town
To learn to love to lay my head down
Painting walls and moving places
Summer nights spent trading spaces
