Everything Is Bad All The Time
Made a list of things I know
But that list was far too short to show
Cause nothing is as it seems
Hurt those people make them bleed
Take the things that you need
Cause in the end who needs to know?
Steal everything from all your friends
And when you jump make sure to clear the fence
You know I wish that I could sleep
But I lay awake with these things
Guns and Bombs and artillery
Come on folks now get a clue
Someone call in Nancy Drew
First it's me and then it's you
Keep working every hour of the day
Don't listen to what the people have to say
Now I don't much like authority
I would call it anarchy
To be finally free
I don't pledge allegiance to a man
A flag a name or a plan
But to the ground on which we stand
When they murder me in the street
At least I practiced what I preached
Why don't they fight their own wars
Since they're the one who's keeping score
I've seen enough broken doors
And when they've bombed nearly everywhere
And there's no one left for them to scare
Enjoy the money they made out there
It's an American drug
Sweep the bodies under the rug
I'll keep trying to write this list
Of the things I know exist
But I don't know what I know
If you take one thing from this
If something is broken fix it
Or we Rebuild it brick by brick
We'll keep fighting till we fall
And even then I will try to crawl
But that list was far too short to show
Cause nothing is as it seems
Hurt those people make them bleed
Take the things that you need
Cause in the end who needs to know?
Steal everything from all your friends
And when you jump make sure to clear the fence
You know I wish that I could sleep
But I lay awake with these things
