Is This Just Conversation?

Oh and I just can't tell
If these men in line are heroes or villains
Oh and if the green river bells
Would you sing it?

And just like the words that often sound
Like disbelief and mirrored frowns
Might be our own constructed grounds
For fear to grow

And have we all got complacent?
And pushed aside the feelings that shaped us?
For it's disregard that surely may break us
Whatever it takes us, keeps us from falling down

Just trying to keep my composure
I don't want it all I just want some closure
If our moral compass will bring us to cold shores
Then maybe it's leaving that's the only thing bound
