Sidenote

When I look out the windows
So much time can pass
That the silhouettes of the tree lines
Are burned into my vision
If I'd died while writing this
They'd have called it a suicide note
And like the marks of forgotten cigarettes
The myth would be burned into existence
The symptoms have been trying to make themselves shown
These people have the right to let themselves down
And as a rose arose, my heart grew also
For the lonely ships captain
The way he rows and rows
The shadows cast by the rows of stovepipes
Go further than the Lines of any fisherman
I can be the pitcher and the catcher; self perpetuating
My lines are waiting as I'm wading in the pond of infinity
But they are power lines
My intention is to hook them up together
And touch the live wire to our minds
The stars, now aligned, begin fading
Until all that remains is a dark sky
And the benign memories of how brilliant life can seem
We will see if it will seem that way again
My future is still unseen
