Four and Ten: The Story of Passover

We worked hard for so many years
Then one day God heard our tears
He sent Moses to tell Pharoah
"It's time to let my people go"
Pharoah said to Moses "No
I won't let your people go"
Moses said "Now we'll show you
All the things that God can do."

Four questions, four sons, four cups of wine
Ten plagues in Egypt, ten commandments on Mount Sinai

Blood and frogs and eight more plagues
Taught Pharoah to mend his ways
After the plague of the first born son
Pharoah said "Okay, you won"
After all the Jews were gone
Pharoah said "What have we done?
Let's go catch them if we can
Before they reach the promised land"

Four questions, four sons, four cups of wine
Ten plagues in Egypt, ten commandments on Mount Sinai

When Pharoah caught them things looked grim -
"What should we do? We cannot swim."
God said "You can count on me
Stand back while I part the sea."
Today we sit around the table
And the youngest child who is able
Asks us why we eat matzah
We find the answers in the Hagadah

Four questions, four sons, four cups of wine
Ten plagues in Egypt, ten commandments on Mount Sinai
