Cowboy Cold

I see him mending fences
I wish he worked that hard on what's broken at home
I see his love for horses
They light a fire in his eyes that for me he's long gone
And I'm sitting here
Drinking a lukewarm beer

There goes cowboy cold
Just some thing to hold
They say it takes a woman who's pretty damn tough
To drink 'em like the boys or deal with that kinda love
But it gets old
When they're cowboy cold

That old refrigerator
Sure don't do the trick but I drink 'em anyway
This ring on my finger
It ain't big but it's enough to get me to stay
I wish the beer was colder
And he was warmer

Here goes cowboy cold
Just some thing to hold
They say it takes a woman who's pretty damn tough
To drink 'em like the boys or deal with that kinda love
But it gets old
When they're cowboy cold

I know I shouldn't think twice
I could run to the store
For a small bag of ice
Or keep on driving right out of this town
But I grit my teeth for one more round

Here goes cowboy cold
Just some thing to hold
They say it takes a woman who's pretty damn tough
To drink 'em like the boys or deal with that kind of love
But it gets old
When they're cowboy cold
They're just cowboy cold
