The rain pours down, flooding the road
Street lights glisten, my senses overload
Hands on the wheel, clutching too tight
Driving too fast, to see you tonight

The sign says slow, but what does it know
It can't see, what you mean to me
The lights turn red, can't move ahead
Moves to green, I leave the scene
Foot hits the floor, to see you one more

I leave the town, now the twists and turns
It's dark out here, it's of no concern
The cat's eyes shining, showing the way
How I feel right now, is hard to convey

Dazzled by headlights, my eyes start to ache
