2:30PM

I see my doggy out the window
Chasing a squirrel he'll never catch

I saw my brother on Instagram
Walking through the MoMA and The Met

My highschool friends are taking their kids
To Sunday morning mass

I'll just sit right here waiting for my moment here to pass

I'll never leave this safety net
Because I'm scared of the unknown

It's 2:30 and I'm cursing at
The salesman on my phone

He's trying to sell me happiness
Through a 30 year loan

But when these brick walls surround me
I'm just happy to be home

The tea kettle is boiling
It sings sirens in head

Text bubbles are popping
As they've been left on read

A fireplace on the television
But I'm still freezing cold

I don't know life answers
I'm just waiting to be told
