Kids Again

You're up and out in fifteen or so
Sometimes you're so much put together than me
And I like that about you

I'm up I'm up but I don't want to be
Lately I'd rather stay in bed until I atrophy
Could you stay with me too?

We can watch old cartoons
Like we used to when we skipped school
But they weren't old then
Neither were we it's so long ago
But it still feels like home

I know we've got responsibilities
Maybe they could fuck off I'm watching Bugs Bunny
And I think he's a psychopath

You know I could use a little company
Hello I'm talking 'bout you would you comfort me?
There's a place in my room

We can watch old cartoons
Like we used to when we skipped school
But they weren't old then
Neither were we it's so long ago
But it still feels like home

The sun is gone and with it all the light I had
I thought I was stronger than that
I've never felt so bad
Another day shut in was not what I had planned
Sometimes things don't go to plan
At least I have my bed

Can we watch old cartoons?
Like we used to when we skipped school
(I can't let go)
And we can be kids again
(I can't let go)
How did the years come and don't tell mom
But I just can't let go
