Summer Heat

Will my lowered head still shield me from the cold
As as I felt the weight of both these broken homes
The summer ends and we feel so alone
I'll make my bed with regrets and sleep on your floor

When you decide it's time
To finally reach
Will you see my bones
Rot off of me

I gave you so much chances who's to blame
How many do you need before i break
We give and give and all you do is take
Our youth and every failure is replaced

It's replaced with grief
I could give you solace but it's incased in hate
Under the summer heat
We both kept a smile but we were not happy

So will our lowered heads still shield us from the cold
As we felt the weight of both these broken homes
I could wait for you outside while you endure
But that's all I have to offer nothing more
