Shadows On The Wall

The skeletons in our closet
Still swing from side to side
The breeze blows through our clothes that we hung out to dry
The monster inside our room
That hardly lets me sleep
Is still holding on to all the things that I didn't get to keep

So I'm taking down our pictures
While I'm pacing up the hall
Cause there's something in these shadows on the wall
There's something in these shadows

I don't know where I'm going
But I know just where I've been
I've goin through the motions
But I won't do that again
Now I'm learning as I'm living
How to be a better man
And that started with forgiving
But you wouldn't understand

So I'm taking down our pictures
As I'm pacing up the hall
Cause there's something in these shadows on the wall
There's something in these shadows on the wall

It'll take some time
For you to change your mind
You'll find a way to make it safely through the night
While I'm surrounded by these demons I can't fight

And the skeletons in my closet
Still swing from side to side
In the corners of my memories
Where the ghosts are known to hide
And the monster inside of me
That never lets me sleep
Is still holding on to all the things you didn't let me keep

So I'm taking down our pictures
As I'm pacing up the hall
Cause there's something in these shadows on the wall
There something in these shadows on the wall
I see you in these shadows
