H-Town

One Two Three

Blue grass lutes
Back wood black boots
Track meets similar to grass roots I easily pull
Drive across the province Alberta deep in my soul
Playing hockey since novice taught me scoring a goal
Trapping since a younging
Catching lynx my father strapped and gunning
Hunting was never that fun in my situation like yo
I enjoy conversation more than lost hares in my crosshairs
Trigger I couldn't pull
Heavy conscious kept me from being cool in highschool
I'm the master putting girls on a pedestal
Blushing, stuttering, muttering
Buttering up pretty girls like damn girl when'd you become so beautiful
I was valedictorian that's shifting gears real quick
I went from shy guy to a speech I need to present
I'm a young gun but don't you think I'll forget
My hometown, H-Town gotta represent
That's H-town

I'm moving out of H-Town
And I'm moving uptown you hear me
To that deluxe apartment in the city
I'm moving to the city
Owuuu

Moving to city going to a university
Personally ready for the switch begging for bursaries

I was undergraduate that's shifting gears real quick
I went from hometown hero to feeling irrelevant
I'm in downtown Edmonton missing my clique
I'm surrounded by bricks just missing the sticks
I was going into it thinking I could do this
I was clueless how much work was really required
My smart lazy ass out here got burnt on the fire
Thought to myself damn its time to retire
I be moving back home and I acting like I opt out
But really was drop out
It's time to pull the mop out
Moving right back to my same old roots
At those same old parties in the same old boots

I'm moving back to H-Town
And I'm moving out of that deluxe apartment in the city
And I'm moving back to my parents house you hear me
Back right home
Owuuu
