Life Those Days

I've got all these memories all locked away in my brain
And the fact that I lived them and they're over
Is driving me a little bit insane
I can't go back, oh but what I'd give
To walk through the past and observe the life I've lived

I wish I could go on a journey
To see the things that I've done in my life
Things like family vacations and preschool even
I'd love one more moment inside
All the messes I made and the laughter I caused
All the fun that we had, all the battles I lost
I'd want many things different, but I'd want more the same
I wish I could live but a glimpse of life those days

However, these memories aren't holding me back from moving on
But rather the fact that I lived them is helping me stay strong
I look back on these things and I smile
I think about them every once in awhile

I wish I could go on a journey
To see the things that I've done in my life
Things like breakfast in my room on Christmas morning
I'd love one more moment inside
All the messes I made and the laughter I caused
All the fun that we had, all the battles I lost
I'd want many things different, but I'd want more the same
I wish I could live but a glimpse of life those days

I wish I could go on a journey
To see the things that I've done in my life
Things like father-son trips or homeschool even
I want one more moment inside
All the messes I made and the laughter I caused
All the fun that we had, all the battles I lost
I'd want many things different, but I'd want more the same
I wish I could live but a glimpse of life those days
