Rush

These days everything feels like too much
Although we've never got enough
We're gonna crash so buckle up
This matters more than a parking spot
I can hardly stand the thought of staying put or moving on
And yet I idle where I stopped
As if the race we're in has not begun

The road is long and rough
It consumes all of us
A slow and steady push
Is the only way to beat the rush

So if you need a place to rest your weary eyes
Don't be too proud to turn the wheel and pull over to the side
Or better yet to ask for help from someone in whom you confide
We all see trouble in the mirror and have traffic backed up inside our minds

The road is long and rough
Abused by all of us
A slow and steady push
Is the only way to beat the

The road is long and rough
Abused by all of us
A slow and steady push
Is the only way to beat the endless and relentless rush
