Yesterday I found this picture
Through my veins was running some liquor
Suddenly it brought back all the memories
And obviously I started crying

It was of a time we were

Watching movies over and over
Searching for our lucky clover
Reading books under the quilts
Or trying to run on stilts

We never thought to be old someday
Now those memories fade away
We should have realised
It was the best of our time

Life seemed easier when I was just ten
Now it's like I never feel home again
Sometimes I feel I don't even belong here
And all I need is to disappear

In a time when we were

Playing 'cause we gotta catch them all
Biking the street until nightfall
Tracking ants to find their hill
Arguing but always forgive

People we miss were still around
There's no way I can heal those wounds
None of us realised
It was the best of our time
