Orchid Kingdoms
I need new kingdoms
I will find them in
The increasing pile of scraps
All these specimens
Are so resistant
To the ecologies of man
Meet at the edge of Wafarnachy
We'll turn this world to oaks and hornbeams
I was hugging trees
Before the hippies
By a thousand years or more
But I always need
Epiphyte trainees
Climbing towers and speaking spores
Under the ground I am reclaiming
Our common land once more sustaining
I will outlive the Magna Carta
I will outsmart royal pretenders
I will find them in
The increasing pile of scraps
All these specimens
Are so resistant
To the ecologies of man
Meet at the edge of Wafarnachy
We'll turn this world to oaks and hornbeams
I was hugging trees
Before the hippies
By a thousand years or more
But I always need
Epiphyte trainees
Climbing towers and speaking spores
Under the ground I am reclaiming
Our common land once more sustaining
I will outlive the Magna Carta
I will outsmart royal pretenders
