Fear of God

I'm tryna set foot and become
A bigger role model and become
An example to my peers and become
A voice for the youth and become
A legend in my city and beyond

Gotta do it all
While we fight the demons but we fall
Addictions that we got & still haven't conquered
But maybe there's a reason for these problems
In addition to what we face on the daily
There's a lesson to be taught
A moment on the spot that is truly
A blessing in disguise & our eyes
Can't see it when distraught
We got flaws, used to blame the lord
When things are getting naught
And we not
Used to look at mirrors cuz we fought
Every single time He resurfaced so we rot
With mistakes and issues we have caused
But, that's only cuz we're lost
And this life, is a maze we got sent to
But despite, all the tools and the writings that were given, we intend to
Disregard the teachings, decide to live in pain cuz we into
Being trapped with no maps but at last, maybe there's a gap
The ignorance we have
Leads us to rephrase
The lessons from the past
All that being said
I believe we are weak
In desperate need of his presence
Cuz we're stuck in a world ill from his absence
