Into the Air

Anxiety slowly creeps in through the back of my mind
As I walk through doors into the narrowing corridor
Guiding hands and smiling faces do little to ease the building pressure
Of my racing brain as I'm strapped into my chair

Into the air, and it's off I go
Into the clouds, out of control I know
Climbing away from all my cares below
Sliding on down to a slower note
Into the air, and it's off I go
Is this a dream or anesthesia's glow
Looking on down at the world below
Instead of peace I feel my pulse's flow

Anxiety returns as I see dark clouds slowly building
The light begins to fade and the trembling begins
My gripping fear starts now

Into the air, and it's off I go
Out of the clouds, still no control I know
Racing to ground, down to the world below
Traveling in this giant dynamo
Into the air, and it's off I go
Is this a dream or anesthesia's glow
Pressure is lost as alarms bellow
Will I live on
Or meet my end below
