House of Cards

When I was young, I built a house
And I thought, the structure was sound
But just as I, I turned around
Something invisible knocked it to the ground

Sometimes life's gonna move too fast
You don't have time to be looking back
The storms of life, they come up fast
Maybe this time my house will last

Now I'm grey, with no children
So, I'm gonna try, to pass down some wisdom

I had my run, was it a good one
One thing's for sure, nothing's certain
I walked down a lonely boulevard
I may broken and a little scarred
But I think it's time, I leave my house of cards
