Hydrangea

Lights dim, film reels, projections play
All your past days shoot through the lense
From moments that you'll miss to moments you can't face
Lights on, film ends, cue credits

So much time was lost, to worries about judgment and failure
It's the egos job, to block out our awareness of our impermanence

Something you've forced me to do, now your spaces fill with hydrangea
To clamor or rejoice? as we're faced with your absence

Here we are now with bunches of hydrangea
Bloomed in different hues, your essence still around us
I regret the times we spent in gray

But destiny called, with grounds to start again
The unforgiving slog, to mend a grieving heart
