Graffiti

Let me stay out past curfew
I asked that when I was sixteen
Cause I'm growing up, and my time's running out
So please let me paint all the streets

I'm lost under bridges, and got no ideas
But I promise to make what I mean
With green, orange, blue, yellow, violet, maroon
I'm silently screaming, through miles of fading graffiti

My world's going down, well it has been for years
It sucks to admit, but it's true
Cause friends will start fighting, when worlds are colliding
But at least the sky is still blue
The walls are my canvas, I fill them with fire
But still leave the sun in the sky
Cause maybe I'm optimistic, or maybe I'm missing
A piece of myself that has died

I'm lost under bridges, and got no ideas
But I promise to make what I mean
With green, orange, blue, yellow, violet, maroon
I'm silently screaming, through miles of fading graffiti

It has been years since I returned home
To the park by the old roller-rink
The lights still don't work, but I still feel the hurt
From last time I walked on the leaves
I remember falling the last night of October
Draw blank 'til November 13th
I found escape plans in my aerosol cans
But still made a bad masterpiece

Because I'm lost under bridges, and got no ideas
I promise to make what I mean
With green, orange, blue, yellow, violet, maroon
I'm silently screaming, for miles and miles, I'll be
Lost under bridges, still got no ideas
But I promise to make what I mean
With green, orange, blue, yellow, violet, maroon

If you wanna meet me
Then walk through my miles of graffiti
