Be Yourself

Be reminded that you can never fail at being yourself
Let me say that again you can never fail at being yourself
Now, oftentimes people try to live their lives
Based on other people's terms
And they neglect their own standards
Many people have lost their identities
Many people have lost their morals
Many people have lost their values trying to impress
People who don't even like them
Yes, they try to impress people
Who don't give a flying fuck about them
Now, being yourself in a world where you can be anyone
Is the greatest achievement
Let me say that again
If you are able to be yourself in a world where you can be anyone
You win, never allow anybody to set
A pace and a time for you to be yourself
If somebody has never worked a mind in your shoes
They should never have the audacity to tell you who you are
The same people that you let determine
Who you are have never felt your heartache
They've never felt your headaches, and they have never felt your pain
So live your life the way you want and be yourself
Because you can never go wrong when you are yourself
And remember, your destiny is never in a rush
So never allow anybody or anything to rush you
Just be yourself
Now, being yourself does not mean that you're selfish
It doesn't mean that you don't care about others
But it means that you like who you are
And everything that you stand for
It means that you're living life how you want to live it
Regardless of other people's opinions
And it also means that you respect yourself
People's opinions about you should never define you
Their opinions about you are sorely their problem
You can never control what others think
But you can control what you think
If you live rent-free in their brain
Don't allow them to live rent-free in yours
Don't allow anyone to show you how to be yourself
Nobody knows you better than you know yourself
If you know that your morals and your values are in place
You have nothing to worry about
Continue to live your life the way you want
You are being charged regardless of what you do
So always be yourself
Because once you lose yourself
You lose everything your values
Your dreams, your vision, and your purpose
Now repeat that to me I will always be myself
I will never let others' opinions define who I am
My values and my morals are in place and that is all that matters
