Weather

Day drunk
Reminiscing
Head floods
With inadequacy

It makes me wonder

Counting
All the wasted days
Drowning
In my own complacency

And it's no wonder

What do I have to show
For all the seeds I've sown
I tend this bed alone
And so far
Nothing's grown

Under the weather again
I may need an umbrella
To fend off the rain
This thunder will never relent
Despite how I am dressed
I'll be drenched all the same
