Bloom

Her heart was like the flower of an African Daisy
Out shining it's hues
As night fell
Or a gust of cold wind blew
It would curl back in it's safe space
Away from you

As the day grew and the sun was shining through
It crawled out it's safe space to come and be with you

Hard times and knowledge worked the lines of her face
Like a story as she smiled at the passing stranger
Then faded back Into an empty expression

As the day fell and the moon shone bright
Crawling out it's safe space to come and be with you tonight

Stay with me and I'll stay with you
Come to me and I'll be with you
Be the waves and I'll sway you like the sea

Eyes were the warmest brown like a fire within
That was being held captive
But fearful of it's brining it was kept close inside
It would rather hide

Stay with me and I'll stay with you
Come to me and I'll be with you
Be the waves and I'll sway you like the sea.
