No Harm in a Drive

Summer break or Spring vacation
Any place away from home
Do whatever it takes
To have some fun alone
Turn off all communication
Disconnect from what I knew
Keep telling myself
"It's good to take some time for you"

Self-love comes in many forms
And maybe it's all part of the design
First things first
No harm in a drive

Letting go of expectations
The future isn't in the now
Today is today
Until tomorrow comes around

Life works in mysterious ways
And love will always follow close behind
Or so I'm told
No harm in a drive

I don't need my other half
To sweep me off my feet
I'm alright
Passing state border signs
Oh, I know we almost made it there
Who are you
In the corner of my eye
Can I see you again
Give me a where and a when
As I drive by
Just a picture will do
Until the "hellos" and "goodbyes"
I can't imagine love, but this
Could be my answer to "what if?"
I have to try

Let go of what came before
And step out of the worry in your mind
As they say
No harm in a drive
