List of Problems

I texted my best friend
Told her why I couldn't stand you
She told me you were no good, I said
That's probably true
But then I forgot all your flaws
Started the whole thing anew
Besides if you ask me
The boy she likes is no good too

I wrote down a whole list
Of all the reasons why I fell
I bet I could make a list of why I
Shouldn't have as well
Who knows which would have been longer
Well it does no good to dwell
Although I think it over every day
If anybody couldn't tell

So I'll stand with one foot out the door
But now my home's the doorway
And you can do much worse than ever before
I'll always find a reason to stay
So maybe I've got problems
Oh, and maybe you're number one
But I'd rather my list of problems have you
Over having none

I texted my best friend
All the things that I regret
So many things involving you
But you're not on that list yet
Because you know I'd do it all
Over and over again
Drive right into that concrete wall
For the parts before the end

So I'll stand with one foot out the door
But now my home's the doorway
And you can do much worse than ever before
I'll always find a reason to stay
So maybe I've got problems
Oh, and maybe you're number one
But I'd rather my list of problems have you
Over having none

I know it's no use
I know there's no point
Of hanging around here
Reliving every night
I know it's no use
I know that you're gone
I just wish I had a way to fix
Everything that went wrong

I'll stand with one foot out the door
But now my home's the doorway
And you can do much worse than ever before
I'll always find a reason to stay
So maybe I've got problems
Oh, and maybe you're number one
But I'd rather my list of problems have you
Over having none
