self-care

Young king, know what your worth is
Why you pay it mind if it don't align with your purpose
Why you holding on to shit for more than five minutes
If in five years time it won't even harm your spirit
Time limits damn that's something you cannot live by
This isn't NBA ain't no shot clocks in real life
Gotta do what feels right, keep living while you're still ripe
Don't let them make you think that by thirty you need the ideal wife
And some lil' kids, your own home and a job
Then you realise decades later you've been out here getting robbed
Of your precious youth, possessions plentiful but you're in destitute
Think about your self first in a world where depression rules
And count your blessings too
When you stop caring about what's cool you'll feel incredible
I'm reading books, unlearning toxic habits, eating vegetables
Can't stomach getting wasted every weekend it's not digestible

Love, that's what you are embodying
Self-care, that's getting extra sleep instead of partying
It's sitting in the sunlight renewing your vitality
Accepting all your flaws and loving your anatomy
Mowing all your lawns and avoiding snakes so casually
Realising climbing over mountains happens gradually
You're a masterpiece in the making if you master peace
I'm proud of me for changing for the better so drastically
