Goin to Hell in All Religions

As soon as we're born we stand condemned
To face some final judgement in the end
The sins of our father's, the sins of pride
There are people ready to take us for a ride

Someone always wants to let us know
That we're all goin' down below
Guess we're goin' to hell in all religions

S'posed to be about love, s'posed to be about peace
That we can't have until we're down on our knees
But who can hope and talk about grace
And stare into the eyes of a dying child's face

A friend once joked with me
A bacon cheeseburger is all we need
To send us to hell in all religions

If life is suffering as the Buddhists say
Why would you want to come back this way

I studied hard, was sincere about it all
That few are chosen though many are called
In the end I was left alone and confused
Who would give us a mind we can't use

As I contemplate the vastness of time
If not believing is a crime
I guess I'm goin' to hell in all religions
