Alien Boys

Early one morning on Stepney Green
I was up and polishing my washing machine
When a ray of light took me by surprise,
There was a craft full of alien boys outside.

Beamed right down when I flashed my torch
Crash-landed on my Pyrex porch,
Demanding to speak to the chief designer,
I said he's moulding plastic in the heart of China.

Alien boys, alien boys
Alien boys with alien toys.
Gadgets they will not allow,
The end of my world is coming now.

We talked about Picasso and the Dalai Lama,
Inoculating me with the theory of karma.
Lemonade, organic cream.
I said keep my poster of the Queen.

Things turned nasty when they twisted my keys,
Melting my telly with their lazer beams.
Domestically I was quite unsound,
They said I'd fouled the fluids, infested the ground.

Alien boys, alien boys
Alien boys, alien boys, alien toys.
Give me back technology.
Save me from calamity.
