A Frame for Vision

So long the window pane
made a frame for
vision but now,
window and frame forgotten
the sky's own eyes,
filled with love,
peek out
From nowhere nobody at all
gazes with affection on
the no-place of everyone
everywhere
All I learned along the way
was the unlearning
of the word "me"
Whoever puts on the clothing of love
loses all need for ceremony,
formality, custom.
Whoever drinks from the cup of love
forgets not just
the window pane
but the whole house as well.
So long the window pane
made a frame for vision but now,
window and frame forgotten
the sky's own eyes,
filled with love,
peek out.
From nowhere nobody at all
gazes with affection on
the no-place of
everyone everywhere.
All I learned along the way
was the unlearning
of the word "me"
Whoever puts on the clothing of love
loses all need for ceremony,
formality, custom.
Whoever drinks from the cup of love
forgets not just
the window pane
but the whole house as well
So long the window pane
made a frame for vision but now
