Books

I like books-square things with words
You throw them around the room
I use them when I'm alone
Sometimes there's nothing to do

They're one thing between the world and I
That feel good in my mind
Be quiet sit next to me
Move your lips when you read

I was searching for myself 'til I pulled up a chair
Found-lost again in pages in between
Read them write them, too
Borrow them in your skirt

It's not sexy if you're a fool
There are plenty to peruse
People text, play games
Where's time gone; who's to blame?

They're heavy they fill up a room
Give them away more coming soon
