Telluride

He rides into town, makes a stop at the cantina
He tips back his glass and he sinks his whiskey down
He pays for his liquor, horseplay aside
The barkeeper thanks him, says welcome to Telluride

He enters the bank with a calm and cool demeanor
He says to the teller Put the tender in the bag
The sheriff came looking to turn the tide
But five minutes later he was nowhere near Telluride

Him and the Kid always got a good haul when they were robbing a bank or a train
He disappears into a Hole In the Wall, never to be seen again

He makes his escape all the way to Argentina
Time had come for a showdown with the law
And as he lay dying, shot in the side
He starts to feel the fire and he knows into hell he rides
In Telluride
