SuperWoman

They ask me what its like to be a superwoman
To which I reply
With a smile on my face
Eyes radiating the warmest embrace
I say
Do you know what it's like to die?

Do you know what its like to be so sure of this life
And never actually have an answer to the question why?
Where the place of uncertainty
Is the only place you are certain of
Where the idea of eternity is the only concept
More frightening than love

You see my mama raised me to be strong
To think deep and stand tall
And when they slap you around
You turn around and face another wall
No matter the tears streaming down your face
Or paralyzing thoughts you can never erase
Flashing memories of past mistakes
With your body you learn to disconnect
Then reconnect with just enough time for another step to take

So you ask me
From which fabric is a superwoman made?

You get to witness my beauty, my essence, my intelligence

Lest we forget the complexity behind my tapestry
To which my magic has oh so much relevance

What you see is the living document of the greatest story I will ever create

You see the human me
The part you still believe
Had to die
In order for this Queen to be made
