Old Pictures

Some day we'll be Old Pictures
Hanging in that hall
Of scenes they won't remember
Of things we still recall

Like that time in Pensacola
With our brand new wedding bands
Forever is still forever
Like we wrote it in the sand

One was still in diapers
One was on the way
Next thing that you know
It was graduation day

And I cried like a baby
Giving Annie away
Shipping John off to the Middle East
But he got home ok

And those times out in the kitchen
We were rolling on the floor
We're still doing dishes
And we got room for more

We told all the stories
About living on love and luck
They don't need to see the pictures
We saved just for us

So let's wake up in the morning
Give the kids a call
Have them come up for a visit
We'll take pictures for the wall

Some day we'll be Old Pictures
Hanging in that hall
Of scenes they don't remember
The days we still recall
