October Sky

There's a dirt drive past the county road sign
That leads up to their house
A wraparound porch and a swinging screen door
She's wearing her momma's blouse

When he pulls in, she runs to that fence
Like she had a thousand times
She's the reason he flies, his sunset view
His horizon rendezvous

But the moment turns bittersweet
Fading smiles and memories
