Incidental

There's a sadness there that I don't understand
Melancholic disposition that I can't begin to comprehend

But if I'm leaving in the morning won't you get out of your bed
Grab a coffee from the kitchen, ask when I'll be back again

And it's a shame that after all this time
Incidental conversations weigh so heavy on my mind

But if I catch you in the morning on my way out the door
Tell me if you've made your mind up if it matters anymore

There's a sadness there that I don't understand
