Eye of the Spirit Chapter One

When I was young I thought that life would be an easy path
Never understood to feel the good you have to know the bad
Had to see the devil to see God to understand his plan
Saw the hand of God and realized I was grain of sand
Jesus said be humble do everything like it were for me
I will show you things that the spirits eyes can only see
Some of it may scare you but I want you to walk in peace
Keep your faith on high and don't ever let your spirit sleep

Walking in the spirit I could see inside the peoples hearts
Anger, sadness, suicide, and all of that was just a start
Walked into a church felt my heart like it just skipped a beat
What I saw inside the house of God knocked me off my feet
I saw men and women praising God no fear or retreat
Then when I got closer I saw wolves that were disguised as sheep
Walked up to the reverend saw his life like a glass of water
He would preach the word but than at home he would rape his daughter

Asked the lord how come you are showing me this
He told me your still on the shore you haven't seen the abyss
I saw a mother sell her child for a one minute hit
And walk away with no regrets for the act that she did
Jesus said you have to see the dark to enter the light
Felt like Constantine the way they came and put up a fight
Saw a kid on Instagram talking tough like he nice
A couple seconds later someone came and ended his life

As he lay dying saw his soul leaving his body
He screamed to God to please forgive him and that he was so sorry
Jesus with tears in his eyes told him it was to late
A black hole opened up and demons took him away
Tear came running down my face because I could feel all the pain
If your not spiritually ready it will drive you insane
That death was harder than anything that I'd ever seen
It hit me harder when I saw that he was only fifteen

A young child taken away in the blink of an eye
His mother holding up his body while she screamed and she cried
Asking God to bring him back a pain she couldn't withstand
At the funeral they buried him right next to his dad
This is only chapter one of many things you will see
You will see the souls of many men who died without me
He put his hand on my shoulder and told me don't be afraid
Because I'll be walking along side you every step of the way

Pay attention to what I show you and everything that I say
Because your the vessel that I chose to preach that I man the way
This journey will begin in hell but it will end up in heaven
You will see the good and bad to leave a lasting impression
