Space: Volume 2
This is Space Volume Two
Crescent
Phases
The moon cuts itself into pieces every day
Until there is nothing but a sliver left
And I hang my hat on your sharp edges
And I lay my feet upon your crescent
Admiring the fleeting
Until there is nothing left
So I fall
Float
And there I was falling through space
Or was I floating
Or was it the descent into madness we all knew was
Or was I flailing
Or was I flying? (I definitely wasn't flying. There is no atmosphere. No air. No wind
Or was I
Descend
And I somehow land on my feet
And the earth shattered underneath it
Maybe because I fell so fast, so hard, so quickly
Or maybe because I was unable to slow down (are those the same things
It's all a blur
But
What I do know is that there is no earth under my feet
And now that there is no ground, I guess I'll fall forever
Half Moon
Even split
That's what it was
I take the dark and you take the light
Because everything in the light glitters
And your eyes were wide
And even if you could see what it was I saw, you'd make the same choice
Even if you saw what I saw, you'd make the same choice
Cycles
You say everything is cyclical
And that makes me think of planets on a set track (they come around
They come around and show off their bodies (this celestial catwalk
They move, they cut through the sky, they are smooth, they are elegant
They are stuck doing the same thing over and over again
You say everything is cyclical like it's a bad thing
Full
Just full of it. You were full of it
We had been eating all day
It was a good time for a walk
So we strolled, making sure to take our time to
Smell the flowers or shit on the side of the road
We were both full of it then
Both of us taking our time to shit on the side on the road
It was dark already but the moon shone on like only it could
It was full of it too, you said
But
It is just reflecting that which is
So it's not its fault
And I said you were full of it
New Moon
And we start again
There was a sliver
And then there wasn't
And then it starts again
There was a light
And now it's out
And then we start again
We could see
And now we can't
And then we start again
There was time
And now we're out
And then we start again
It was new
And now it's not
And then we start again
It was quiet
And now it's loud
And then we start again
We fell in love
And fell out too
And then we start again
I was fractured
And now I'm whole
And then I start again
It was shiny
Now it's dull
And then it shines again
There was a beginning
And an end
But then we start again
