fighting back
Uh
Ok, ok, I can go like that
Or I can go like this
I set it off like this
Alright
I take car insurance price, flick my wrist
Now that's a poetic device
Crack my knuckles and the homage is trite
My confidence implies height
A letter to the force guiding my hands
Transmissions to the tiny lamp
I guess I'm fighting back
I know it looks like I'm simply writing raps
But, this here is kinda technical
Let's discuss intervals and who is original
Indivisible, who's been watching too much T.V
Ain't a person in this world can say R.A.P. Ferreira is greedy
You'll notice I've never been without
Quick in and out, I write these songs to empty me
Lotta you motherfuckers is NPCs
And I still grant you grace, muttering "blacks rule" under my breath
Who made their first million pushing cassettes in a new millennium?
A new specimen
Didn't sacrifice nary a truth or drop of estrogen
When bad shit happen, I say, "Lord, I'm honored to be tested again"
Allow me to demonstrate my steadfast devotion
Cruelty be the name of the ocean
But, the keel of my yacht is ruby encrusted
Goofy lusted after they own demise
I wrote this rap to make the sun rise
I guess I catch wrecks sometimes
At my house you hear the laughter of children
And grown folks discussing plans for buildings
Through the air wafts a scent so soothing
Of a bluesman cooking, blind man lookout
Type to hate before they even know what the book about
Evil wizard said, "look around, you're the only one here"
But, I and I know better
And I know bedwetters who left puddles where the devil came
Looking for truffles and baubles
Said, "MCs smoke crack"
It was only the soulfolks who spoke back
And said, "Well actually, you could get slapped for such blasphemy"
And it was the ruby yacht redguard posted out front Yaqub's cave
With the tomahawks like the Atlanta Braves
Enough energy to dance for days
And I know it's the monks of the Wahoo Monastery
Eyes glazed, calling the Earth into being every morning
Awe inspired, amazed
And I know it's epic poetry that keeps the Cosmos orbiting
And I know it's epic poetry that keeps the Cosmos orbiting
And I know it's epic poetry that keeps the Cosmos orbiting
And I know it's epic poetry that keeps the Cosmos orbiting
And I know it's epic poetry that keeps the Cosmos orbiting
And I know it's epic poetry that keeps the Cosmos orbiting
